01 of agosto: Fiesta Patronal de San Cristobal in Migjorn Is Great.


This holiday in Menorca is one that receives the greatest number of visitors due to the large number of activities offered to all visitors. First weekend in August: Fiesta de San Cayetano

However, the main celebration is the traditional and famous Jaleo (The dancing horses) To appreciate the spectacular movements of the riders with their horses is something that wows both children and adults. So many come to watch the maneuvers of the caixers(riders) and  horses. Other activities may also occur over the weekend are hiking along country roads and bike rides. Both options are excellent for a day full of calm and relaxation. Finally, we must not forget that in the Church of Sant Gaieta performing a Mass in honor of San Cayetano.

Weekend after the Diez de agosto: Patronal Fiesta in honor of San Lorenzo in Alayor.


This celebration is held to honor the patron of the municipality. For this reason, performing the traditional and famous Jaleo. It starts when the riders or caixers make its entrance to the town square and walk among the masses, showing the skills for themselves and horses. It is very striking to appreciate horses jumping to the rhythm of the melodies typical of these celebrations. Later, the night festival ends the second day of the weekend, relevant authorities will deliver the cane to dismiss the riders and applause.

23 to 25 August: Feast of St. Bartholomew in Ferreries.


This celebration has a very marked religious character, beginning to take place since the beginning of the fourteenth century. In itself, this celebration came after the founding of the parish and the emergence of the first settlers of this town. It should be noted that here they conduct a series of activities so the whole audience can enjoy a quality show.

25 to 26 August: Festivities in honor of Sant Lluis Sant Lluis.


This celebration is held to pay homage to St. Louis. Among the main activities that can be highlighted here are folk festivals, dances, competitions and entertainment and the traditional Mass. In general, kids and adults can have fun during the two day duration of the celebration.
